Collection of Information

We collect personally identifiable information, like names, postal addresses, email addresses, etc., during the account creation process.

The information we collect from you may be used to personalize your experience, to improve our website and services, to improve customer service, to process your requests and transactions, to provide service/product support, to send periodic emails (your email will automatically be included in our mailing list, which we use to stay in touch with our customers), to administer contests, surveys or other site feature. We will not sell your information to third parties. The collected information is not stored separate from your account information and the collected information is automatically deleted or updated when you delete the information, delete your account or update your account information. The collected information does not include any information retrieved via third party services such as Google API, Dropbox API, Box API, Office365 API,etc.

In the course of your business, you will also enter your clients' information. We will not use your clients' information for any purposes other than for providing customer support to you on your specific request and/or to improve the site performance, if necessary. We will not sell your clients' contact information. We (including our partners, affiliates) will not establish any contacts with your clients. Unless a competent court specifically orders us to do so, we will not disclose your client list and client information to any third party.

The information described above remains in your own account and is deleted automatically when your account is deleted. Information stored in your connected third-party applications is not copied. When the information is deleted in the third-party accounts, the information is no longer displayed in your MatterSuite account.

Cookie/Tracking Technology

This site may use cookie and tracking technology depending on the features offered. Cookie and tracking technology are useful for gathering information such as browser type and operating system, tracking the number of visitors to the our site,and understanding how visitors use the site. Cookies can also help customize the site for visitors. Personal information is not collected via cookies and other tracking technology, however, if you previously provided personally identifiable information, cookies may be tied to such information. Aggregate cookie and tracking information may be shared with third parties for providing a better user experience. When you register to use our service for the first time, we may collect information such as your location, timezone, etc. from your IP address for the sole purpose of pre-filling your firm's information.

Your personally identifiable information and clients’ information, financial and case data are kept secure. Critical data will be encrypted before storing in our databases.

Third Party Services

MatterSuite allows you to connect your MatterSuite account to third party service providers such as Google, Dropbox, Box, Xero, QuickBooks, etc. A limited amount of information contained in your third party accounts (e.g., Google Drive) is read when you navigate to particular pages in your MatterSuite account. The third party information is read and displayed on the navigated page. For example, if you visit Documents tab of a case and if your account is linked to your Google account, the navigated page will display files that were uploaded to Google Drive via MatterSuite. Files and metadata are not locally stored. Other type of data such as events, tasks are copied to your Google account when event/task is created in your MatterSuite account. An event or task created in Google directly will not be displayed in your MatterSuite account pages. MatterSuite will allow you to delete information stored in your Google account however, only the information that you see in MatterSuite, which is the information created in your Google account through MatterSuite.
